Summer Session 2018

PIANO, DRUMS, AND BAND INSTRUMENTS

 

Mondays 3-3:30

Tuition is just $90 for the entire summer (includes one time registration fee). We need at least four students by July 9 to make this happen (July 9-August 27). Tell your friends.

 

Piano Lab (with SD)

Piano Lab is a one of a kind opportunity for learning piano in a friendly, fun, fast paced, and safe environment, taught by a conservatory educated professional music. 

Wednesdays 1:45-2:15 

Tuition is just $100 for the whole 8 weeks of summer! (includes $10 registration fee)

 

Summer Winds 

Learn to play the saxophone, clarinet, flute, trumpet or trombone in a fun environment taught by a conservatory trained musician and educator with over twenty years’ experience as an educator and professional musician. Students will need to rent an instrument and purchase a book.

Class will meet weekly for 8 weeks

Wednesdays 12:15pm to 1:15pm 

Jul 11, 2018 – Aug 29

Tuition is just $120 for the summer (includes $10 registration fee).

 

VOCAL MUSIC

 

Musical Theater for Vocalists (with Molly Crane and Jessica Barnes)

Ages: 7-18

Students will have a blast learning ensemble scenes from musical theater works. We will focus on vocal technique and terms and technical aspects of the theater; much music will be learned!     

Fridays 5:00-6:00 PM    

July 6 through August 24

Tuition is just $210 for the 8-week summer session (includes $10 registration fee)

 

Vox Acapella (with Jenna)

Ages: 12-18

Students will have a blast learning to sing in an acapella group with no instruments. Focus is on technique, tone, blend, and singing in an acpaella group (harmony, melody, counterparts, etc.). By appointment/audition only, contact Jenna at TIA.

Broadway Pop Choir (with Jessica Barnes)

Ages: 8-18

This class is for students who want to have fun and improve their talents for the stage! Students will sing, move and perform fun and energetic Pop Music, Jazz and Broadway tunes in a group setting. The class will focus on singing techniques, movement coaching, song interpretation, stage presence, and team spirit.

Thursdays 5:30-6:30

GUITAR AND UKULELE

Ukulele for Kids (With student teacher Angelia)

Perfect children ages 8-12, and maybe younger

Angelia is our newest student teacher, and the daughter of SD & Jenna. She is fourteen, under the direction of  Thomas, Jenna, and SD, and has been studying music her whole life. Angelia is also a trained pianist and vocalist as well and is one of our most proficient and advanced guitar students. She has been singing and studying voice as long as she can remember.

Angelia will be under the mentoring of TIA faculty. An adult TIA faculty member will be present in the building at all times when her classes meet. She has been a part of TIA from the beginning and has served as a mentor and leader in vocal and instrumental classes.

Ukulele is the perfect entry way in to guitar (two less strings, affordable, less physically demanding).

 

GAB: Guitar for Absolute Beginners (with Thomas and Angelia)

Come learn the guitar in a fun and safe environment, make friends, and have a blast in GAB: Guitar for Absolute Beginners! 

 Tuesdays at 2-3PM

Tuition is just $108 for the 8 week summer session, plus a one time $10 registration fee.
