Sara Ewan is a soprano, private voice teacher, and recording artist whose training includes studying with internationally performing professional tenor Carlos Seise, former student of Luciano Pavarotti. In college, Sara also received the rare opportunity to study with New York City vocal coach Neil Semer, who coaches Metropolitan Opera singers, and subsequently studied with him in New York City, Toronto, and Germany.

Sara began both singing on stage and her formal piano instruction at age six, participating in her local community theater from the age of five and starring in many musical theater and straight theater roles. Sara holds a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance with a piano minor from Hope College, where she graduated magna cum laude in 2004. She studied at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and won the highest vocal award her first year there, touring Europe the next year with the Blue Lake International Choir. In addition, Sara has written over a hundred songs, recorded and performed in Nashville, won awards for her jazz singing and playing, and is also well-versed in musical theater, having been nominated for an Irene Ryan Award for her performance of Julie in Carousel with Hope College.

Sara has toured as a solo artist for five years throughout much of the US. She has also had the privilege of singing classically with area symphony orchestras and teaching private voice for over twenty years.
