As of September 2017: We have a decent (not large) scholarship fund available currently. If you have been wanting to put you children in classes or lessons but have been hindered by finances, you may consider dropping us a line and applying.
At Tuned In it is our desire to serve the community. We back that up with 10% of our proceeds from all classes of five or more tuition-paying students. 10% of all non-scholarship group class tuition received (above our operating budget threshold) goes right back in to the scholarship fund to provide scholarships to students that could not otherwise afford classes at the academy.
Additionally, we are always seeking partners who wish to support us and help meet the needs of young people and their families in our community. We do have limited scholarships available to families in need. Drop us a line if we may be able to serve your family in that way.
Who is Eligible?
At the academy, we use the official Section 8 Housing Income Limits as a guide for offering tuition. This information is updated annually and specific to Thurston County, where most of our students reside, and where our studio is. If you qualify as low, very low, or extremely low according to that list, and we have the scholarship funds available, we would love to be able to serve you or your family through the help of scholarships to study at the academy.
According to this guide, and as funds are available, our sliding scale tuition rates are as follows:
Low Income: 50% scholarship
Very Low Income: 80% scholarship
Extremely Low Income: 100% scholarship

If you are not eligible for regular scholarship funds, we would suggest that you seek out some friends, family members, or community organizations that might sponsor you. Feel free to have them contact us, there donation on you or your child’s behalf will be a tax deductible donation to a 503c non-profit.
If we can assist in finding support for you, we would be delighted to. We are here to serve the community as best we can.
