Music is a Lifelong Source of Joy and Sustaining Power

We were recently gifted an amazing library of music from the daughter of Muriel Holden (see just one area of the studio that houses her music below). My understanding was that Muriel was in her mid-nineties when she just recently passed away. But she loved music. She loved piano. In fact, her daughter Jeri tells me that music was such a significant part of her life that it was in many ways life giving and life sustaining. I understand she suffered from Alzheimer’s in her late years, but still played the piano and that while the disease can often ravage the mind—it has often failed to steal the music from people! And thank goodness for that.Jerri's music in the Practice Room

Jeri said she played until nearly the end, and it was always a source of life and joy. We are so thankful for the library of music (1000’s of piano works) that will bring wonder, fun, and joy to so many of our students and faculty for ages to come. My hope is too that if you are reading this, that you understand the importance of music. No matter your stage of life (we have students in their eighties), music can serve you and be a source of life, joy, and sustaining power for all of your life. Why not call us and start the journey today?
