The Tuned In Academy

Make a Difference in 2022!

Make a Difference through Music in 2022It’s almost the end of 2021, and many of us would probably say good riddance! Of course, we have no idea what is in store for 2022, but we are hopeful that it will be a good one! We know it has been a challenging time for many, and may continue to be in 2022. But for those that can spare even a little, would you consider TIA for your end of year giving? The Tuned In Academy is a 501(c) 3 non-profit and your contribution can help us make a big difference in the lives of so many people!

Sponsor a 5-Year-Old through Beginning Piano

Just $50 a month sponsors one 5-year-old child into a weekly 15-minute private piano lessons with one of our highly capable regular, student, or associate faculty. There are so many beautiful children that are ready at age 5 to begin the journey of music, and many of them would so love the opportunity to learn from a fun, caring, and qualified educator—but for some families, even $50 is more than their monthly budget can afford. Would you make a difference or partner with a friend or family member to do so?

Sponsor a Child through a Piano Lab

Just $60 a month sponsors one child into a weekly 30-minute Piano Lab, one of the best opportunities for music education anywhere! Piano Labs are ongoing classes and many of our labs have been together for years, with many students who began with us less than five years ago in a piano lab now playing music at the college level! We have one teen student that started in a piano lab just about two years ago and she is now on track to likely start serving with us soon as a student teacher! There are so many great kids that would love a chance to learn piano in a fun, safe, engaging community environment but for whatever reason their family may not be able to afford an extra $60 monthly. Would you step in and help them out so we can offer a scholarship to them?

Sponsor a Child, Teen, or Adult through Private Lessons with Associate or Student Faculty

Just $75 a month sponsors anyone, any age (6 and up) into weekly one-on-one, 30-minute private lessons with one of our highly capable Associate or Student Faculty in piano, guitar, ukulele, drums, voice, hip-hop, rap, or production lessons. We keep our costs as low as we can, but for some families, music lessons are an added expense they just can’t add, but for many people, $75 is a small investment into the future of our community and of the world. Would you consider helping us make such a life-long impact?

Just $90 a month sponsors someone into weekly one-on-one, 30-minute private lessons with one of our highly capable college degreed voice, piano, guitar, or ukulele teachers. Private lessons with our regular faculty are an experience so many would benefit from, but there are many would-be students that just can’t swing it. Would you pitch in towards their performance goals?

Sponsor a Child, Teen, or Adult through Private Lessons with Master Faculty

Just $95 a month sponsors someone into weekly one-on-one, 30-minute private lessons with one of our highly capable master faculty (with a Master’s degree or higher) in piano, violin, cello, trumpet, trombone, saxophone, voice, bass, or drums. Our master faculty have spent decades studying their craft, studied privately themselves, achieved some of the highest credentials and have experience that brings such a gift to their students. They are also just beautiful people. But not everyone can afford such an opportunity. Would you consider the impact that such a mentor can have on someone’s life and lend a helping hand?

Sponsor Someone in Need through Music Therapy or Adaptive Music Lessons

Just $180 monthly sponsors someone through weekly one-on-one music therapy sessions with our board certified, licensed, professional music therapist. Just $130 sponsors someone in need through weekly adaptive one-on-one adaptive music lessons with our music therapist/educator. There are so many young people that struggle with various needs such as anxiety, depression, autism, and PTSD. Veterans and retirees that suffer the same and more. Sadly, in WA music therapy is not yet covered by most insurance. Would you consider making a donation towards helping someone in such a need?

Recruiting (Teacher Search)

One of our biggest struggles right now is finding teachers. As you may know, most of our teachers are on a wait list. That’s a great problem to have, but it also means that anybody that calls us today like we end up on a waitlist or going someplace else. Would you like to help us find more great teachers and create more jobs? That means serving more people! When we bring somebody on to our team, we are not just bringing somebody to teach music, we are training them to teach music really well in a highly relational way, with an extremely high view of music theory, technical ability, expression, and community. Would you help us with our search for more team members?

Conferences

Send SD to conferences! There are many conferences around the country, events that draw in college music students and graduates, musicians, and music educators from all over, looking for opportunities and even for organizations they can support or invest finances into, and looking to partner with. We would love to send SD to some of these conferences to set up a table or a booth, share the vision of TIA, network, and hopefully draw in some of all the above. You can help us do that!
