The Tuned In Academy

Homeschool Band, Choir, or Orchestra Students

There are area orchestras and even homeschool bands that put together groups of students usually at various different levels. Choirs too. These groups can be a great and even invaluable experience to be a part of a group and in learning about music and to play repertoire. They can even be wonderful opportunities to play music for the community in concerts and festivals.

These groups themselves however are generally not enough for learning an instrument, especially a band or orchestra instrument. Instruments like the trumpet, saxophone, viola, or cello (to name just a few) are multi-faceted, the same is true with voice. There are physical issues involved like air stream and embouchure, fingering and proper bow technique, even posture and breathing. Learning to play an instrument like this takes time and ideally one on one or at least a close ratio (one on three, perhaps to four or five).

At TIA we are here to help you with that one on one instruction you need, or small group master class type instruction. We are here to help you with your breathing, fingering, embouchure, pitch, tone, and of course, with the journey of learning to read and interpret the musical rhythms, melodies, and lines. And your homeschool band, community orchestra, or choir will be super excited that you enroll in taking lessons or small group classes because you will be stronger, better, and likelly even a leader.

Need help? We are here for you. Give us a call today and start the journey.
