Fun with Multiple Instruments

Every student is unique. Some students need a different approach. Occasionally, some music students may even be drawn towards another instrument out of curiosity in their lessons. Maybe they need to touch, play, and hear things from a different perspective.

One of the advantages of having faculty that know and teach multiple instruments is the flexibility to meet those needs. Recently I had a student glance over at our buckets (which we use for drum labs and sometimes other drum students). He asked me, what are those for? As I explained it and demonstrated he remarked that they sounded cool and that he would like to learn how to do that. He is now learning trumpet and drums and doing quite well with both, in fact, maybe even better recently with trumpet since picking up the drums.

Are you learning an instrument and would like to learn another? Learning multiple instruments usually becomes a little easier with each new instrument, and it will always help you learn to love and appreciate music on a new level. All but two of our faculty teach piano. At least five our faculty teach multiple instruments. Looking to learn? Call or drop us a line today and start the journey!
