The Tuned In Academy

2020 Report

Year-End Giving Statistics Nonprofits Should Know – Give Back NationWith the effects of Covid-19 on 2020, we have seen many small businesses in our area close their doors and families at a loss for what to do during these tough times. Thanks to the donations of some special supporters, our academy has been able to meet a genuine need for music in this community. With so many kids getting moved to online classes and music not being offered in schools, we have been able to serve more students than we ever have before who otherwise would not be able to have music this year. Adults have also been struggling with this pandemic due to the loss of jobs, being able to see and hang out with friends, and being a part of a community, and we have enrolled many adults during this season as well.

Thanks to these donations, our students have been able to learn music in a safe environment with highly capable teachers who love doing what they do. Kids and teenagers have been able to grow in their skills and grow their passion for music. Adult learners of all ages have found their love for music for the first time or resparked the passion for it. With your help, we have been able to help keep costs affordable for all families, pay our teachers liveable wages and help give scholarships to families who would otherwise not have an option for music for their children. We could not do this without donors like you! Please keep us in your thoughts for continuing donations for 2021.

The Tuned In Academy has recently expanded with gaining the basement of our studio for two more classrooms and a dedicated office for admin so we can turn the old office into another classroom. Most of our teachers now have wait lists and our rooms were already always filled and now are filling up even more and our teachers have expanded schedules to reach the needs of the community. This is an increased cost, but it’s all to meet the mission of making music that matters!

TIA has also with your help created 11 currently held jobs with our nine faculty members and two admin staff and it is our goal in 2021 to add a new full-time job for an operations manager. To do this, we need your help. Help us hire a new #operationsmanager for TIA by donating toward our goal of $30,000 (1/2 of their first year’s salary). The new operations manager’s first responsibility will be raising the remainder of their first year’s salary and then to begin planning all that is necessary to keep TIA running smoothly and taking us to the next level! As the end of 2020 approaches, we would be honored if you would consider TIA for your end of year giving.

You may now donate by cash, check, the Cash App $thetunedinacademy or Venmo @thetunedinacademy. Neither Venmo or the Cash app place additional fees on us currently either, which means we can receive all of your donations without paying a fee!
