Spring is Happening at TIA!

It has been a high speed and busy several months since we began 2018 at TIA! We have enrolled over 30 students since beginning the new year! And there is so much exciting stuff on the horizon I can barely contain myself! Spring semester has already begun and we are in full swing! But that doesn’t mean it is too late to get in on the fun! See a list of openings, offerings, and new possibilities here.

This last week Thomas and I visited a Classical Conversations Community to share about some classical romantic orchestral composers and discuss/demonstrate major and minor modalities on our instruments. Thomas even showed how orchestral music has influenced electric rock guitar. We so love our CC communities and the fact that they start teaching music at such a young age! If you or anyone you know is a part of a CC community or any other organization that would like a special musical support, just drop us a line! We would love to serve you if we can!

We love our local CC communities! If you know of any group that would like a little personal touch and teaching from TIA, just let us know.

In the coming weeks we have so many great opportunities for our students to make music for each other and the community, and for people in the community to get to know TIA! Please, come, support the arts, enjoy—and tell your friends!

Arts Walk 2018!

We always have a blast at Arts Walk. Come support the arts and enjoy the music made by many TIA students! RSVP on Facebook here. You won’t want to miss it! Last year was a blast!

A Celebration of Scales!

Our first annual COS. This event will be loads of fun, you will not want to miss it!

Join us for our first annual celebration of scales! This will be a fun time of music students coming together to celebrate scales and the journey of music discipline and education.

We will have three parts to the celebration:

1. Major scales in the circle of fifths
2. Natural minors in the circle of fifths
3. Teacher’s choice: scales selected by TIA faculty

All participating students will receive certificates of participation for their awesome achievements. We will also have incentives for excellence and command of scales knowledge.

We welcome students who study elsewhere. We are asking a $5 donation per family in attendance to help cover costs associated with the event.#Celebrationofscales

Open House

Finally, we will have an open house on June 2 at 3PM. Your friends will not want to miss this! Anyone in the community that has questions, wants to meet the teachers, find out more about TIA, this is the opportunity to do it! We will have some music by students, some brief blurbs by faculty about who we are, and you can come check out our studio and meet teachers.

RSVP on Facebook here.
