Group Piano Labs at TIA

Ongoing Piano Labs at TIA
Continuing Piano Lab!
We start up new piano labs at TIA whenever we can. Piano labs are small group piano classes taught by highly trained professional musicians and seasoned educators with conservatory degrees. Piano labs are friendly,  fun, relational, and a wonderful opportunity to learn piano.

In addition to new piano labs for beginners however, we have many ongoing piano labs at TIA with limited availability.  Nine currently  in fact! If you have a child (or teen) that has been  playing piano for a while and is looking for a great opportunity, especially if they are willing and open to some *retraining, we would love to meet and do an assessment to see if they may be a fit for one! Drop us a line! Piano Labs are just $60 monthly for the weekly 30 minute lab and $55 monthly for a second child.

*At TIA we teach scales, sight reading, and practical music theory at an extremely high level, so very likely your child may have to do some retraining on this, but we are here to help and they will learn so much and grow in capability and confidence!

Why Group Piano?

Less Pressure: When learning a new skill one-on-one, students often feel nervous which can hinder their learning process.

Positive group motivation: a spirit of positive team engagement helps to motivate students to each give it a shot when playing something independently.

Social engagement and time out of the house and somewhere else!

Affordability without sacrificing quality: Piano Lab tuition is $30-40 less than what you will pray for most private lessons from qualified instructors, and our piano lab instructors are experienced, energetic, fun, and caring professional musicians with degrees from some of the top conservatories of music in the world.

Playing in an Ensemble: One of the exclusively unique elements of learning piano in a group that we love at TIA is the ability for students to participate in making music written for a group, creating not just a handful of piano students playing the same music and part, but multiple individual parts creating one new whole arrangement. It is a beautiful thing!

Tempo and Time: Consistently we see a high capability and sensitivity to tempo and feel among group piano students. It is much easier to feel the time and follow in time with three or four peers and less likely to speed up and slow down and fall in and out of time.
