Music is more fun with friends, it really is. And we think that one if the best things about music is getting together with friends and making it together. Most music students will have concerts or recitals they are preparing for this season. With our winter presentation just less than a month away, now is a great time to think about planning a get together with friends to make music together (to play and to practice.

I want to encourage everyone to think about one or two of your group class mates that maybe you could call and plan a time to get together and make music with over the next few weeks. Maybe a Saturday afternoon or an evening. Get together, practice your music for presentation, have some fun (play a game, go to the mall, grab a snack, whatever, and have fun!

Some of the best friendships are formed around music. One of my trumpet buddies from high school was the best man at my wedding, he’s helped me move twice, and we still hang today.
