We often put classes together based on the needs of the community. That is why we are here, to serve you!

Songwriting

Teen Summer Songwriting

You will not want to miss this class! If you are a teen and you have a decent understanding of chords and music and have always wanted to learn how to write your own songs, this is the class for you! We will have a blast learning different techniques and methods for developing melody, harmony, and lyrics. We will listen to and analyze great songs by some of the great artists of the craft, and of course, we will write! We will write both together  as a group, and at home and be able to share and have your songs reviewed by musicians and songwriters with over 20 years’ experience. Come learn the Berklee songwriting method with Berklee grads. Call today to get on the list, space is limited. The 8 week summer session is just $160.

Adult Summer Songwriting

Same as above, but for adults, this class will meet in the evenings.


Wind Instruments

Brass Lab

We have a blast in Brass Lab. This class is a small group master class that works on all things brass from embouchure and breathing, articulation, scales, ear training, and of course, we learn new and interesting music and repertoire, and have a lot of fun. This class meets Mondays 5:15-6:15PM and tuition is just $50 a month.

Summer Winds: Saxophone, Clarinet, and Flute  

TIA is the resource for learning to play wind band instruments. With over 20 years of experience as a multi-instrumentalist and teacher, SD is well versed in understanding and teaching wind instruments. Give us a call today and let’s get your child having fun and making music on the sax, flute, or clarinet this summer for our 8 week summer session. Summer session is just $100 for the eight week session.

Piano & Keyboard

Piano Lab

This is a great opportunity for children who have some experience with piano (maybe a year or so) and want to continue to learn and grow in a group environment. This class meets Mondays 3:30-4PM. Tuition is just $40 a month, call today for details.

Kids KAB (Starts March 6, enroll today!)

Kids KAB is a piano/keyboard class for absolute beginners in a small group format. This class is perfect for ages about 7-9, and sometimes a little younger. In this class, students enjoy the benefits of a private lessons and the fun and community of a group class, all with our conservatory trained, seasoned, and experienced music educators, at group discount prices. Tuition is just $50 per month and this class will meet Mondays 2-3PM.

Teen Chord Lab

This 30-minute session meets Tuesdays 5-5:30PM and there is no need to learn to read music notation. This non-traditional approach will teach teens to learn to understand, play, and voice chords and to eventually read chord charts and create their own piano arrangements. Tuition is just $40 a month, which you won’t beat anywhere! Space is limited, call today.

Adult Chord Lab

This 30-minute session will meet Wednesdays 6:15-6:45PM and there is no need to learn to read music notation. Teen KAB

The chord lab is an optional half class, the whole class continues Tuesdays 5:30-6PM in learning music notation reading for both left and right hands in a complete piano method. Tuition for the whole hour course is just $80 a month, call today for details.

 


Strings

FSO (For Strings Only) Master Class (for ages 8 and up)

This is the perfect place to come and learn the art of violin or viola.  This small group master class is a great opportunity to learn serious technique from a skilled local, professional, and classically trained violinist, and all the while having fun too! Class meets Tuesdays

Tuition is just *100 a month.


Percussion

Sticks and Mallets: Drums and Bells

This fun class is a great entryway in to percussion. Students will learn to play the snare drum and the bells. Summer session is just $100 for the eight week session.

Sticks and Keys: Drums and Piano

This fun class is a great entryway in to percussion. Students will learn to play the drums on buckets and pads (a low cost investment), and the piano (on keyboards). Summer session is just $100 for the eight week session.

Tuition is just $50 a month for these classes.

 


Choir & Vocal

Our choir and vocal classes offer a range of opportunities to learn the art of voice and singing in a group: learn to harmonize, to sing acapella, and most importantly, to have fun!

Jr. Vox Acapella (Our most popular class, this is a continuing class. If you are ages 9-14, can sing, and have sang in a group before you may be a fit to join this class).

Tuition is just $80 a month for this class.


Electric Guitar and Bass

Electric Guitar Foundations (Saturdays @10AM)

This class will cover the fundamental concepts and techniques for playing the electric guitar including: correct picking and fingering, common chords, rhythm patterns, essential scales, riffs and lead lines, and guitar and amplifier tone control. Basic rock and blues styles will be explored as they form a common vocabulary for the instrument. Successful student of this class will form a solid platform of knowledge to advance to higher levels of proficiency. Class starts May 6.
Bass Guitar Foundations (Saturdays @11AM)

This class will cover all the essential areas necessary to develop a strong foundation in playing the bass guitar. Topics will include: left and right hand techniques, tone control, fretboard familiarity, essential scales, and understanding bass line construction. Basic rock and blues styles will be explored as they form common vocabulary for the instrument. Successful student of this class will form a solid platform of knowledge to advance to higher levels of proficiency. Class starts May 6.

Voice

Vox Acapella  and Jr. Vox Acapella

These are the perfect classes for the budding young vocalist. Each class showcases the beauty and power of the human voice with nothing but voices. These classes have open enrollment, so call now to join in the fun! Students learn vocal and breathing technique, harmonize, sing in solfege, learn new original arrangements, make friends, and have a lot of fun! Jr. Vox Acapella (2-6th grade) meets Wednesdays 2:30-3:30PM and Vox Acapella (7th grade and up) meets Fridays 1-2PM.
