When you check into a music studio or teacher, which you should always do, make sure you don’t just assume top listing on Google is the best. Read the reviews, but also, check the number in parenthesis (number) right next to name of the organization or person, this is an important part of the story, consistency.
Come study songwriting the Berklee College of Music way with a Berklee graduate who has over 20 years of experience! Have fun, study and analyze songs by the greats, write as an individual and as a part of a group, and have a blast! You must have a basic working knowledge of music, preferably piano or guitar. The ability to chord is beneficial, but not essential.
We have about 30 adult students at TIA currently. Students that are university faculty and staff, high ranking officers in the US Army, military and postal retirees, state employees, retired engineers, and missionaries, and they are all awesome people. You should join them on the journey! We held a special adult recital last fall and look forward to another this next year.
We are looking to upgrade our piano lab and we are super excited about it! Our piano lab currently serves 11 classes a week (that’s around 50 students or so)! And our keyboards and stands have helped up very well considering! They are functional, fun, and effective.
But some are beginning to wobble a bit, and we have so many students moving beyond the beginner stage to needing more keys (full size keyboards) and pedals!
These digital pianos are full size, have pedals, weighted keys, and will be so much more fun for students to play! They will also be able to play in a standard position on a bench (we will need to get those as well).

Adults with experience looking to continue, re-capture, or take their piano skills to the next level! We have an adult piano class perfect for seniors or adults with flexible schedules that meets at noon (12-1) on Thursdays. There is room for a few more and we would love to have you join us. Tuition is just $100 monthly ($50 for seniors).

We have a handful of group piano classes that are ongoing with some room in them. If your child has been taking lessons and is needing or wanting to get into a group, to take their piano to the next level, to get more thorough, engaging, and fun instruction and experience–give us a call. They will also have the wonderful and important opportunity of presenting once a semester together as a group in our regular presentations.
If you have a child that has experience with piano, specifically Alfred’s Basic Piano Library and has a good handle on their scales (these students know their major, minor, and harmonics), we have a few spots in our homeschool older kid/teen piano lab.
