Guitar (Student Teacher)
Ben teaches GAB (Guitar for Absolute Beginners):
Ben is 17 years old and a junior in high school. He has been playing guitar for about eight years. He studied privately for about 4 years and has been teaching private guitar lessons for a year now. Ben is a skilled acoustic and electric guitar player, and proficient on ukulele and mandolin as well. He is a regular on the worship team at a local church, both for corporate worship on Sunday mornings and for youth group nights. He has also played in bands for numerous youth camps and is spending a portion of his summer teaching guitar at Fusion Music Camp in Latvia. We are excited to add Ben to the TIA team as a student teacher.
Ben will be under the mentoring of TIA faculty. An adult TIA faculty member will be present and supervising each of Ben’s classes at all times. Ben comes to the academy with full recommendation of leaders in his community network, and having previously proven himself as a mentor in our Eastside Elements ensemble.
Ben will be teaching our Thursday afternoon session of GAB this fall (Guitar for Absolute Beginners). As a student taught class, the tuition is at the elementary rate, but you can be assured that you will be receiving the full TIA experience of quality education with an excellent, fun, and relational educator.
