We hope to add 40 students this year to the academy. And our goal is to add those students TUITION FREE.

As Director, my family and I have been paying to run the academy mostly out of our pocket since  day one, with the help of some money from a few local individual and organization supporters. We pay on average about $700 out of our own pocket to cover rent, insurance, advertising, etc. We are happy to do this, as we are able. Obviously charging tuition is a necessity to a point so that we can have the building and all of the infrastructure to do what we do.

But if we could raise $500 in support on a monthly or annual basis, we can be free to donate much more of our time in teaching on a volunteer basis. And I hope others in the community will follow and partner with us. Can you help us make a difference in 2016? Here’s out it will work:

  • For every $20 we receive this year in our 2016 Instrumental Music Scholarship Fund*, we can provide one month of elementary instrumental music classes, TUITION FREE, to students that could otherwise not take part.
  • For just $240 a year, we can sponsor a student for the whole year.
  • $6,000 will meet this need for the entire year.

Help us reach our goal of reaching 40 new students this year that would otherwise not be able to be a part of TIA! The Tuned In Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit academy. Scholarships will be granted as funds are available based on the Thurston County Section 8 income scale. Anyone at or below low income may apply.
