The Tuned In Academy

Multiple Mediums

Did you know that Tony Bennett is not just a talented jazz musician and vocalist, but he is also a painter and sculptor? Take a look, he has some beautiful work rich with meaning and expressions of our world from his eyes.

At the academy, we appreciate all art, not just music. And we recognize that many children will want to explore multiple avenues to express creativity. This is one of the reasons we are excited to be launching our pilot program into the visual arts this winter.

If your children are between the ages of 5 and 15 and would like to learn the art of expression through pencil, charcoal, or watercolors this winter, then sign up today for Imagination Art. Classes will be offered for grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-9 and meet late Saturday mornings or early afternoons. Tuition is just $20 per week and you may sign up for four weeks at a time, or all twelve weeks covering three mediums: pencil, charcoal, and watercolors. If you already have a child enrolled at the academy, tuition is 50% off on the family plan.

  1. My son Josiah is very interested in the art class. He loves art. If it is late enough on Sat. He would love to be in the 7-9th grade class. He has dance until 11:30 on Sat. Please keep us posted! Thanks. Amy

  2. What a great idea! Pencil in our girls as a maybe depending on the final time frames offered. We are in church until 12:30 on Saturdays
& could come for a 1pm or later session. Thanks! 🙂

  3. My 6 year old daughter, Zophia would be interested. She has dance classes until 11:00 on Saturdays. If the classes for her age group are later, some time after 11:30, she’d want to try her hand at art.

How long do you think the classes would be? Half an hour – hour? And would most of the work be done during class? Or would there be work to be done at home?

Would supplies be extra? If so can you give me an idea of how much they might cost.

It sounds like it’s a 12 week program, is that correct? I feel comfortable committing to 12 weeks, ….it’s just that she’s only in first grade and I’m trying to balance activities without over doing things. 🙂

    Thanks.
